Tank Farm Lighting

Tank Farm Lighting

Distilleries, petrochemical companies, and chemical processors are all equipped with typical tank farms or storage tanks that hold hazardous liquids, compressed gases or other mediums used for various manufacturing processes. A combination of low intensity lights and high intensity lights are necessary at each level so that the tank farms are visible from every angle. High intensity lights are also installed to always recognize the tank farms.

Lighting for food industry is categorized into several areas such as storage, sorting, preparation, inspection, and many other processes. Hygiene is the key requirement while providing lights for food industry. Providing the right light reduces stress, offers minimal glare, uniform illumination of the immediate surroundings and absence of flickering ensuring hygiene and precision in the workspace. All lighting fixtures for the food industry are provided as per National Institute of Public Health and International Food standards.

Chemical storage and warehouse required highest standards of safety; therefore, LED lighting is installed for working environments with hazardous substances. Installing LED lighting offers less maintenance and contributes to CO2 reduction. LED lighting mitigates pollution through direct and asymmetrical lighting and is therefore environmentally friendly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: data is compiled from factory-specific lighting publications. However, these are recommendations only; careful consideration must go into every unique environment.

Tank farms will need both portable and fixed explosion proof light fittings. Our Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 portable lights are used for tank cleaning and maintenance which are ATEX and IECEX certified LED lights. For external lighting of tank farms, commonly used pendant light fitting, floodlights and linear fixtures are also certified to use in explosive gas and dust environment.
