Ex Transformer is AJV Technical Equipment’s range of Atexor ATEX, IECEx and UKEX certified portable step-down transformers for Zone 1 and Zone 21 hazardous areas, supplied across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Led by the SLAM TrafoEX, these transformers step down 110VAC or 230VAC mains supply to safe 12V, 24V or 42V low-voltage power for operating Ex-certified lighting and equipment in tank cleaning, confined space entry, aircraft maintenance, and tunnel and sewer maintenance work. Each unit is covered by a single certification document, carries IP66 ingress protection, and operates from −20°C to +55°C.

Available with 2 or 4 Ex socket outlets compatible with major Ex socket types including ATX, Ceag, Stahl and Marechal, the SLAM TrafoEX supports linking multiple units together for larger power setups and has a fuse that can be changed in approximately one minute.

AJV Tech supplies Ex Transformers to shutdown contractors and maintenance teams across the GCC, with full ATEX, IECEx and UKEX documentation supplied for technical submittals.
