The SPARTAN MPFL is a Zone 1 mid-power floodlight family (5K–20K) designed to directly replace
discharge sources up to 250W SON, spanning 40W–120W and 5,223–20,000 lumens across five power
tiers, with beam options of 30°×30°, 60°×60° or 90°×90°.

Worked Example

A site replacing 250W SON floodlights pole-for-pole should size to the MPFL15K (120W, up to
15,547 lm) — Raytec states this range is designed to directly replace SON sources up to that
wattage. If the existing fixture is a 400W SON, the MPFL range is undersized and the HPFL range (up
to 300W / 29,134 lm) is the correct family instead.

Limitations

MPFL emergency variants add 2.8kg (16kg vs 13.2kg) and offer two duration options — 90 min at
50% power (3,922 lm) or 180 min at 25% power (1,961 lm) — confirm which the site’s emergency
lighting design requires. Standard units are rated -40°C to +60°C; emergency variants -20°C to +50°C.
